Who we are
The Kaami is the studio of Kaami, a visual artist in Toronto, Ontario. We decide what happens to the information you share here. Reach us at kaamilonart@gmail.com or +1 647 707 1830.
What you send us, and why
The question, commission and contact forms ask for your name, your email, and what you want to tell us, and the commission form also asks about your room. We use it to reply to you. We do not sell it. Sending a form does not add you to the drop list or sign you up for any other email from us.
If you join the drop list we keep your email address so we can tell you when new prints are released. You can ask us to remove it at any time, and every email we send has a way to stop them.
These messages are stored in our customer system, which is run for us by myBloom, our marketing agency. They can see them because they help us manage the website and enquiries.
Your cart
Your cart is kept in your own browser so it is still there when you come back. If you accept cookies, the works in it are also saved with us under a random code, so we can tell you about a cart you left behind. We only know whose cart it is if you have joined the drop list or written to us.
If you have joined the drop list or signed up for our emails, we may send you a reminder about a cart or a checkout you left. If you tick the box at checkout to hear from us, we may remind you about that checkout. Nobody else gets a reminder. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe.
Paying
Checkout happens on Shopify’s secure checkout. Your payment and delivery details go to Shopify and the payment provider, never to this website. Shopify’s own privacy policy covers that page, and your order details are shared with us so we can make and send your work.
Cookies and measurement
We use Google Analytics and the Meta pixel to see which works people look at and to measure our ads, and a random code of our own to remember your cart and which works you looked at. They are off until you accept them, and nothing non-essential loads before you choose. You can change your mind at any time; choosing essential only removes our code.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept while we are talking and for two years afterwards, so we can pick up where we left off. Drop list addresses are kept until you leave the list. A saved cart is kept for 30 days after you last change it. Ask us and we will delete yours sooner.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email kaamilonart@gmail.com. If you are not happy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
